Take a peek at how we work here at G|S, learn about our process and see our answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.

Who we are

At G|S our goal is to deliever designs that blend just the right amount of practical and beautiful that help our clients stand out apart from other websites. Our experts have been creating websites and graphics since the days of AOL and netscape (which some of our younger clients may not fully remember) and will work with you at every step of your project to ensure every base is covered and everyone is happy.

Our Process

The first step for every project, you contact us and let us know what you need and how we can help. This is the part where where we go over specific needs/desires, pricing, and estimated scheduling for the entire project.

After everything is discussed and everyone is on the same page we begin the design process. Because our goal is your satisfaction, we work with you to figure out exactly what you want, no simplified "this or that" choices, no "this is all you can get", but the complete realization of the vision in your head.

Once the design is finalized we start development of the actual product. This is generally the longest part of the project since this is when the project goes from simple vision on paper (it's generally not on actual paper but a digital design) to a fully realized product.

The final hurdle, delivery. This is the goal-line that the entire process has been leading to, all that's left is some behind the scenes magic to make sure everything is working perfectly, and with a couple clicks your finished project is released into the wild.

What we do

Our experts have a range of skills, whether it's a simple website refresh, a custom CMS theme, an e-commerce solution, or some digital marketing magic, we've got you covered. Give our services a browse and let us know what we can do for you.

How much do you charge?

There's not really a simple answer for this. Because every project is bespoke to the client the cost will vary, depending on the type of project and its requirements. Pricing can range from anywhere as low as $500 to over $25,000 depending on your exact needs. Always be wary of anyone who uses set pricing without knowing what you need as they'll be severly limited in what they offer/provide. Do you charge monthly or all at once?

We charge a single set project cost. Generally once the initial consulation is finished and the cost is known, we charge a third before the project moves forward, a third once design work is finished and once development has begun, and the final third once development and testing is completed and the project is ready for deployment. This can vary however based on requirements and total project cost, in which case we will discuss payment with you during the consultation phase.

Why don't you charge monthly?

Other developers may charge a monthly fee, however this is generally a way for them to slowly bleed an account as they charge over $100 a month for hosting (generally a $100 yearly expense) for as long as your website exists. Additionally these costs usually don't include the actual design and development of the websites, and many of these companies don't actually host the website themselves, simply charging you for nothing.

Who hosts my website?

As we don't host your website it will be up to you to find a host, assuming you don't already have one. If one is required we can advise you on reputible webhosts to use, for example: we use Dreamhost, and shopify is a great option for most small or medium e-commerce needs.

Do you use templates?

As a general rule, no. Templates are fine if you plan on doing the work yourself, however while they can generally do a lot of things well, they rarely do what you need perfectly. Additionally too many people consider using a store bought theme as "development" and simply charge you to plug in some colors and text and call it a day. If a developer can't even develop their own website, why would you trust them with yours? Try using this tool to take a peek and find out if your "developer" even made their own website.

How long does a typical project take?

As there's no such thing as a "typical" project, it's difficult to say. Most of our projects take anywhere between four and twelve weeks to design, build, test, and deploy. For a better idea on what to expect check out our Website Breakdown. Standard timeframes can be can be shortened based on necessity (at additional cost) or may take longer depending on how quickly you're able to provide feedback and required information. After your initial consulation with us we'll be able to give you a more accurate timeframe based on your requirements, but no matter what you'll always be kept in the loop throughout all stages of the project, as well as guarenteed that everything will be completed in a timely fashion.

Do I need to provide my own content?

Generally, yes. We will inform you of all required information, and any additional content you'd like to provide can be included as well. If you lack content of your own however, we provide limited copywriting services for you at additional cost, however we will still require certain information from you in order to do so.

What if I don’t like the concepts you produce?

Simple, then we'll work with you until we produce one that you do like. While we've been doing this for years and like to think we're pretty good at asking the right questions to ask to make the design that you want a reality, at the end of the day you're still the boss!

Are there any hidden fees?

Because our costs are total project costs there are no hidden or extra fees. However any additional work or major changes that might be required at any point in the project will most likely incur an additional cost, however those would be discussed with you as beforehand so there's still no scary surprises waiting for you.

What is the best way to contact you?

Since all of our work is done in front of a computer screen, we find it easiest to communicate through email or one of the various online communication services such as skype or slack (this is also the simplest way to provide us any information we may require), however if you prefer we're also availble by phone, fax, snail mail, or even in person if you're local.

Where are you located?

We're located exclusively on the internet. Though we're primarily located in Miami, Florida we don't have a central office space. Because all of our work is done online anyway, we can cut major costs like rent and utilities by not having an office, which results in more flexibility for our employees and lower costs for you as our customer.
